Cuba Sanctions Update


The US presses on with additional sanctions on Cuban officials due to the continued government violence in response to public protests on the island.  With the recent developments in Afghanistan reaching a boiling point, the UK excludes it from 5 categories of Open General Export Licenses.  The Kitchen reviews which categories are in the export play and what are exporters to do next.

The State Department and OFAC sanction Cuban police and its leaders as the protests on this island continue to be answered with violence on the part of the government.  The Kitchen then heads to Nicaragua, which received sanctions by the EU for continued human rights violations.
